David Howells Hub Captain. Welcome to the Noble Air Hub here at Atlanta, Georgia. I retired from the Royal Navy in 1993, after serving 30 years in a variety of ships and conventional /nuclear submarines including an aircraft carrier and a Ballistic Nuclear submarine. I qualified as a specialist in both Navigation and Underwater Warfare and was fortunate to command 3 ships. I have been flight simming now for about 12 years and took the plunge and signed up with Noble Air in May ‘98. I started flying from Gatwick, which is about 50 miles from my home in the south of England and when the hub there moved to Schiphol, Amsterdam I moved with them and remained there until the latter part of 2000 when the new hub at Copenhagen opened. I decided to transfer there to support the new organization. Unfortunately, on arrival, I found myself running a one man band as the entire team had embarked on the Classic Round the World Flight. So donning my leather flying helmet, goggles and white silk scarf, I flew off to join them and earned my second “G”. During that epic journey, along with a number of other participants, I was invited to fill one of the staff vacancies here. Now three years on I have been appointed Hub CaptainWhilst the experienced staff and pilots here are all dedicated to their hobby and want to run a professional, realistic and first class organization for your benefit, their main aim is to ensure you enjoy flying from the Atlanta Hub. If you have any questions, problems or difficulties relating to flight simming then please feel free to ask. We have probably all been there before you so we will be only too pleased to pass on the benefit of our experiences and mistakes. |
