Hub Captain: Hendrik L. Dammann
Senior Command ATP Captain ● #0539G6

Lost in the mists of Noble Air Frankfurt's beginnings, then still with the CompuServe Flight Simulation Forum, Hendrik joined the Noble Air Hub sometimes during April 1996, then lead by a good friend of his, Mr. Klaus-Otto Kuennemeyer, who still lives close by his hometown of Detmold, Germany. Active as pilot #0539 with his home airport Paderborn-Lippstadt (EDLP), he began to explore the fascination of Flight Simulation with FS4 through FSX of today. Together with Mr. Kuennemeyer, several online-flights and Fly Ins were accomplished until Klaus had to step down due to other priorities, e.g. marriage, family, kid daughters. Marcus Puschmann took reign and won Hendrik as his Assistant Hub Captain. All the time, he flew with Noble Air only and accomplished quite some World-Circum-Navigations (+/- 7 times - lost count somewhere), therefore was promoted to his nowadays Pilot ID of #0539G7. He remained AHC with Marcus until the latter was forced to resign due to other commitments. Since April 5, 2004 - that more than 4 years now !, Hendrik has been the Hub Captain of the Noble Air Frankfurt Hub.

His interest in Flight Simulation is especially in exploring new sceneries and PIREPS of the stories encountered, giving hints to valuable downloads, earning the nickname of the Noble Air Frankfurt Hub's "Guru".

He is proud to report that since forming the new Management Team, consisting of Mr. Roland Höhn as AHC (former HC Zurich) and Mr. Holger Treis as Webmaster, significant progress has been made in re-establishing the Noble Air Frankfurt Hub as the central and most important Noble Air Hub in Continental Europe, and we have been honoured by new recruits ever since that time.

To all who have given him invaluable advice, especially Yves Trepanier helping him big time, in constructive criticism and remarks, brainstorms, PIREPS, etc... Hendrik owes you and the drinks will always be free for you !

Professional Career

Seeing studies the universities of Bonn, Bielefeld and Vienna, Hendrik finished Law School in 1998 and was accepted as a lawyer with the German Bar Association in the same year. Not only working on his butt , Hendrik worked as Assistent to the Vice President of Corporate Development of the Bertelsmann Group, too. During this time, he had the honour to graduate with a Doctor's degree in Law and to further advance his education, he became a Business-Mediator with the German Bar Academy. Then changing over to a Company Consultancy Firm in Frankfurt only to change again in establishing his own lawyer's office near Frankfurt. After a venture as Director of Human Resources in Bonn & Cologne of a then NEMAX listed BioTech company, he moved back to his native Detmold to become Assistant to Senior Management of the Ecclesia Group (the English/German version of its homepage: http://www.ecclesia.de/) the single biggest German Church-only owned Insurance Broker. Now-a-days, he still works for the Ecclesia Group having built up a resources databank for colleagues serving the customers in the Health Business and at the moment building up the Competence Center Europe to bring in the Ecclesia Group to Brussels, the "secret Capital of Europe".

Have fun….make a mess and God’s blessings to y’all
Hendrik

Career with Noble Air

My first contact to flightsimulation was back in 1998 with my first computer capable of running more demanding computer games. As I had alsways been interested in aviation but never really thought about becoming a pilot in real life, this was my chance to take a step into the secret world of flying. The simulator, of course, was Microsoft's FS98. I came across virtual airlines when a friend at university showed me the airline he was flying with. But, as many other VAs, this one featured strict regulations. Pilots had to prove their skills by performing many flights (and flight hours, too, of course) before being allowed to upgrade to other aircraft. It would have been necessary to be able to fly online, and several tasks and appointed flights would have to be fulfilled. Noble Air, instead, was totally different! Noble Air does not give you any restrictions when flying for this airline. It is still our policy to primarily HAVE FUN!!!
Thus, at Noble Air, it is the pilot's decision which aircraft is used. The flightplan is not too strict and allows flights of the pilots choice (so called Charter Flights, NBLCHRT) or changes of the aircraft proposed in the flightplan. Another reason to join Noble Air Frankfurt is my German origin. As I grew up near Düsseldorf (EDDL), I was looking for a virtual airline serving German airports. Incidentally, I saw a TV feature on Noble Air while I was looking for a suitable airline, and decided to start flying with Noble Air Frankfurt.
Using FS-Navigator, I did a lot of flights, gained my "G" for the first "Round the world" trip, got promoted a.s.o. With FS2000 I started flying online. With high speed internet connection and FS2004, connecting the FS to flying online has become much easier by now. This is the real thing!
Besides freeware scenery, commercial add-ons apply to flight realism. My favorites are the German Airport series, the PSS Airbus 330/340 bundle and the MADDOG MD83. But I also like to just step into a Cessna or helicopter or any other aircraft and go flying on a VFR trip without too many regulations.
My special interest is real world flightplans. When heading for an airport our flightplan does not cover (which is really rare due to Hendrik's efforts), I do often check for real world flight plans to increase ralism. I do also like sightseeing trips around the FS-world.

My intention is to keep Noble Air Frankfurt active and to provide a platform for our follow pilots to have fun and share their experience. It's a game, isn't it? But it needs gamblers, so please help us keeping Noble Air Frankfurt alive!

Professional Career

After studies of medicine in Regensburg and Würzburg (both in Bavaria) I have finished my medical education in the north of Germany. Now, I am a General practitioner working in Munich, actually doing an office job.

Have fun and happy landings !

Holger
