Career with Noble Air
My first contact to flightsimulation was back in 1998 with my first computer capable of running
more demanding computer games. As I had alsways been interested in aviation but never really thought about becoming
a pilot in real life, this was my chance to take a step into the secret world of flying. The simulator, of course,
was Microsoft's FS98. I came across virtual airlines when a friend at university showed me the airline
he was flying with. But, as many other VAs, this one featured strict regulations. Pilots had to prove their skills
by performing many flights (and flight hours, too, of course) before being allowed to upgrade to other aircraft.
It would have been necessary to be able to fly online, and several tasks and appointed flights would have to be fulfilled.
Noble Air, instead, was totally different! Noble Air does not give you any restrictions when flying for this airline.
It is still our policy to primarily HAVE FUN!!!
Thus, at Noble Air, it is the pilot's decision which aircraft is used. The flightplan is not too strict and allows flights
of the pilots choice (so called Charter Flights, NBLCHRT) or changes of the aircraft proposed in the flightplan.
Another reason to join Noble Air Frankfurt is my German origin. As I grew up near Düsseldorf (EDDL), I was looking for a
virtual airline serving German airports. Incidentally, I saw a TV feature on Noble Air while I was looking for a suitable
airline, and decided to start flying with Noble Air Frankfurt. Using FS-Navigator, I did a lot of flights, gained my
"G" for the first "Round the world" trip, got promoted a.s.o. With FS2000 I started flying online. With high speed internet
connection and FS2004, connecting the FS to flying online has become much easier by now. This is the real thing!
Besides freeware scenery, commercial add-ons apply to flight realism. My favorites are the German Airport series, the PSS
Airbus 330/340 bundle and the MADDOG MD83. But I also like to just step into a Cessna or helicopter or any other aircraft
and go flying on a VFR trip without too many regulations.
My special interest is real world flightplans. When heading for an airport our flightplan does not cover (which is really
rare due to Hendrik's efforts), I do often check for real world flight plans to increase ralism. I do also like
sightseeing trips around the FS-world.
My intention is to keep Noble Air Frankfurt active and to provide a platform for our follow pilots to have fun and share
their experience. It's a game, isn't it? But it needs gamblers, so please help us keeping Noble Air Frankfurt alive!
Professional Career
After studies of medicine in Regensburg and Würzburg (both in Bavaria) I have finished my medical education in the north
of Germany. Now, I am a General practitioner working in Munich, actually doing an office job.
Have fun and happy landings !
