Los Angles International Airport (KLAX)
Cargo Charter Flight Schedule
to and from
ZCMI (Sea Ice Runway at McMurdo Station, Antarctic)

| Special Rules for Charter Flights to and from the Antarctic. |
| The FAA has chartered the Noble Air C-130H to fly some new, state of the art, navigational equipment to McMurdo Station in the Antarctic. |
| You are allowed to "overfly" any country enroute to the Antarctic. |
|
As you can tell by the lack of restrictions, you can plan any route you wish. You must plan your own route, and set your own departure times. The attached flight schedule shows one possible route. Planned stops for fuel are Hawaii, American Samoa, and Christchurch, New Zealand. The estimated time for the entire flight is close to 27 hours, and will cover over 8,000 miles. You MUST use the Noble Air C-130H since this is the only aircraft suitable for the Cargo required by the FAA. You may, modify the fuel tank of the C-130H and add a center tank, not to exceed 3,000 gallons. (If you need help in adding a center fuel tank, contact our Director of Operations, Stan Fitzgerald for assistance. Additional stops for fuel and adjustment of departure times are permitted. |
All times are local times
Return Flight
|
Again you plan your own route, and set your own departure times. The attached flight schedule shows one possible route. Planned stops for fuel are New Zealand, Tonga, and Hawaii. You MUST use the Noble Air C-130H since that's the one you took down to the Antarctic. Please return the aircraft, we don't have that many C130's to leave them laying around. Additional stops for fuel and adjustment of departure times are permitted. *The 3rd leg of the return flight is VERY long, and you may need to make one additional stop for fuel. Pago Pago (NSTU) is on a direct route to Hawaii and would make a good fuel stop if needed. *Special Note* There is a special "Tonga" Scenery file that you can download if you would like to see what Paul hopes is our future Headquarters for vacationing pilots. Just go to the Noble Gate Scenery page and look for "Tonga". |
