SETTING UP PORTS FOR FSHost & FSNav

Due to some firewall changes to the Server that gives us free access to FSHost and FSNav connections we need to change the Client Port Settings for both FS9 multiplayer and FSNavigator multiplayer.

It should very easy to do if you carefully follow the instructions below :-

1. Start FS9 and go to the multiplayer menu. Click "Connect" so you at the multiplayer screen showing Pilot number IP at the bottom. Then click on CLIENT SETTINGS. A box appears, and at the top is "Client ports". Change to "other" then type in 23460. Click "OK" and now you should be back at the multiplayer screen. Click "search" then "join", enter the password and you should be connected and in the Host.

2. Start FSNAV go to the "Options" menu, then "Multiplayer Connect". Now a box should appear with your pilot number and IP top right. On the top in the middle should be default port 23432 and other. Check "other" and set it to 23456. The password box at the bottom on the left should be Greyed out, click on "Search" at the top right. Once it finds the host then you should be able to enter the password and then join. You should notice that FSnav connects much quicker than before and disconnects quicker.

3. FS9 and FSNAV will only remember the information you entered once you have disconnected both from the host, FSNav and exited FS9. When you restart, all the information you entered should still be there when you next connect to the host.

Thanks go to John Barron for these instructions. If you are experiencing problems, then email John or better still speak to him on Teamspeak.
