I
am 31 years old, my wife is Louise whom I have been married to now
for 6 years, but we have been together nearly 10 !!!!!!!!!!
I
have a 3 year old daughter, Charlotte Louise, who is into everything
from the Tweenies to Thomas the Tank Engine via Tellietubbie Land.
I
am employed as an Avionics Technician in the RAF, currently living
in Odiham, Hampshire.
My
main interest is in Civil Aviation, I am one of those bitter and
twisted wannabe pilots who didn't quite make the grade cos I left
it too late, that was until I entered the world of the VA pilot.
Now it is nearly as good as it gets !!!!!!!
My
other hobbies are golf and football. Computers now also take up
a lot of my spare time,it drives the wife mad, that is when I am
not rushing to all the corners of the world clearing up after other
peoples power crazed ideas have gone pear shaped.
I
also enjoy travelling and flying, DIY and writing, just mainly for
pleasure I suppose, not that it will ever get me anywhere. My ambition
in life is to work in the world of Civil Aviation as a licensed
Aircraft Engineer, travel and see as much of the world as I can
as well as teach myself how to use a computer properly !!!!!!
My
first Flightsim program was FS5.1, blocky or what, (The dodgy Microsoft
737 hadn't even been invented then I don't think,) Then I progressed
onto FS for Windows 95, which was a bit better, then along came
FS98, my soulmate. I used to run these on a good old Packard Bell
with a 1 Gig hard-drive, 100MHz Pentium Processor and a whopping
32MB of RAM !!!!!
Finally
I saw the light, especially when the good addons started to come
along, so I upgraded, just a bit anyway to a Tiny Computer with
a 10 Gb hard-drive, 128MB of RAM and a Pentium II 450MHz CPU,19
inch monitor, but not with a 3D card at the moment, my current system.
I
use a Wingman Logitech Joystick with a mind of its own and have
every conceivable addon you can imagine, Including FS Clouds/EFIS
98 which doesn't work with IE5 by the way, both Airports 2000 cd
Roms and of course, loyal to the cause, Barrys' English Airports
for FS98. I am also a regular visitor to Flightsim.com, where all
the other good stuff for FS98 is. I cannot get on with FS2000 at
the moment, so it sits collecting dust in my CD cabinet.
