Dr Roger Eve

Noble Air Master ATP Captain #1227G

Born February 1945

Married with three sons all over 21
I am a General Practitioner in Arundel, West Sussex and have lived here for over 30 years.
My other non-FS hobbies are Sailing, Scouting and SCUBA Diving.
We have a 29 ft sailing cruiser moored at Littlehampton; I am the Group Scout Leader for the 1st Arundel Scout Group and my wife and I go diving 2-3 times a year, usually on holidays to the Red Sea.

I have been a Flight Sim fan since FS1 which I had running on an Amiga. My first computer was a ZX81 complete with a 16K wobbly memory add-on!!

I am currently running FS2002 on a Gateway Pentium 4 1.3Gb with a GeForce 32Mb 3D card. In addition I have FSNavigator4, FSMeteo, Dave March's FDC and Barry Perfect's GB Airports for FS2002.

Life is busy and a lot of fun. Fortunately I manage with only a few hours sleep and tend to work hard (minimum 60 hours/week) and play hard.

Noble Air Senior ATP Captain #3688G

Arriving on this planet in 1956 in the merry month of June, I am married to Dianne and we have a daughter and son both now out of their teenage years. We celebrate our Silver Wedding anniversary this year (2002) and live in Orpington, Kent.

I spent a little over three years in the R.A.F. after leaving school but have been working for the last twenty three years + for a Spanish bank in London on I.T. support.

I am interested in all areas of aviation though primarily warbirds - being a member of the Hurricane Society.

I have been with the Noble Air Gatwick hub for coming up two years now, using initially MS's FS2k and now FS2k2. Previous to this on the flight simulation front, I was primarily into combat sims like Air Warrior, European Air War and CFS. After tiring somewhat of combat simming and messing with FS98, FS2k came along and with that I caught the 'civil' bug.

Flight simulation is now my main hobby, though I love reading and have a passion for the history of the Royal Navy during the Napoleonic Period, the Peninsular War and, going off at a complete tangent, the history of the Zulu peoples.

My current FS2k2 add-ons are FSMeteo, Barry's English Airports series and Dave's FDC. As I only run a PIII 500, I'm trying to keep the add-ons to a minimum !

I am 31 years old, my wife is Louise whom I have been married to now for 6 years, but we have been together nearly 10 !!!!!!!!!!

I have a 3 year old daughter, Charlotte Louise, who is into everything from the Tweenies to Thomas the Tank Engine via Tellietubbie Land.

I am employed as an Avionics Technician in the RAF, currently living in Odiham, Hampshire.

My main interest is in Civil Aviation, I am one of those bitter and twisted wannabe pilots who didn't quite make the grade cos I left it too late, that was until I entered the world of the VA pilot. Now it is nearly as good as it gets !!!!!!!

My other hobbies are golf and football. Computers now also take up a lot of my spare time,it drives the wife mad, that is when I am not rushing to all the corners of the world clearing up after other peoples power crazed ideas have gone pear shaped.

I also enjoy travelling and flying, DIY and writing, just mainly for pleasure I suppose, not that it will ever get me anywhere. My ambition in life is to work in the world of Civil Aviation as a licensed Aircraft Engineer, travel and see as much of the world as I can as well as teach myself how to use a computer properly !!!!!!

My first Flightsim program was FS5.1, blocky or what, (The dodgy Microsoft 737 hadn't even been invented then I don't think,) Then I progressed onto FS for Windows 95, which was a bit better, then along came FS98, my soulmate. I used to run these on a good old Packard Bell with a 1 Gig hard-drive, 100MHz Pentium Processor and a whopping 32MB of RAM !!!!!

Finally I saw the light, especially when the good addons started to come along, so I upgraded, just a bit anyway to a Tiny Computer with a 10 Gb hard-drive, 128MB of RAM and a Pentium II 450MHz CPU,19 inch monitor, but not with a 3D card at the moment, my current system.

I use a Wingman Logitech Joystick with a mind of its own and have every conceivable addon you can imagine, Including FS Clouds/EFIS 98 which doesn't work with IE5 by the way, both Airports 2000 cd Roms and of course, loyal to the cause, Barrys' English Airports for FS98. I am also a regular visitor to Flightsim.com, where all the other good stuff for FS98 is. I cannot get on with FS2000 at the moment, so it sits collecting dust in my CD cabinet.
